Pharrell Williams and Sebastian Bartz

The exhibition „GIRL” in the heart of Marais in Paris, curated by Pharrell Williams wasn't as exciting as I thought it would be. I have usually a huge patience for contemporary art but the crystal Pharrell's statue didn't really impress me that much. Even the sofa with Daft Punk robots - musicians that I've been fan of for ages could't appeal to me less.

Although, I did find something interesting in the Perrotin Galery. A giant picture of Ryan McGinley - one my favorit artists, these days, who's actually a friend of Harmony Korine's and (rip) Dash Snow.
Few other art objects got my attention, like for example a beautiful performance of Marina Abramovic, recorded in the 80's. To watch in the dark room of the gallery.

Too bad that practically all of the work made in tribute to Pharrell Williams was so disappointing. The Japanese artist responsible for it is Takashi Murakami (look down for his picture). After all, I'm obviously glad I went to see "GIRL", cause it has an irrefutable value being so up-to-day. Anyway, it's always worth the effort to find out BY YOURSELF!

Now I'm thinking that I should also warn you about the couch! There was a bunch of japanese fans squatting it the whole time I was there. And probably when I was gone too. I couldn't even take any picture of it, cause they stayed so close and looked like praying to this piece of furniture. This was just insane. Bummer.

Finally, I strongly encourage you to watch a piece of real music, below. Latest Polish, noisy export to Great Britain. A band who has never aroused big attention in their own country. Now, you can probably listen to them live in London.

Let's have a taste of the rebel record called „SUICIDE GIRLFRIEND”.
Oh, and don't forget to go see the exhibition, for what it's worth!
